food bloggers amaze me every time. (Is there a German term for "food blogger"?) Not only do they cook always glorious food, that I would never even try to cook, no, they blog about it and still take fantastic images. My experiments in photography is at best mediocre and * cough * blogging my attempts on food are not worth mentioning. (What I of course not preclude here to link to my entry about the Mega Menu-Mailer . Yes, that's me. Take a plastic bag from the freezer, thaw on the whole thing cook still half frozen and is delighted when something halfway edible happens.)
I'm Meeta's blog stumbled at BlogHer because in Germany lives. And she's not just a "food blog" (and really stunning images, it is also the initiator of " Blogger Postcards from the World . I am glad to join now for the second time in it.
This time, she has a given topic: "Valentines". I'm not a big fan of Valentine's Day-because it - seems to be an invention of the flower wholesalers - at least in Germany. But as we Germans love everything American, he is now, of course, also celebrated here. On the other hand, my feelings about crass commercialization times aside, shoving, it's always good to spread some love in the world and so I decided to make their own Valentine's card to a still unnamed permanent recipient will be sent . At first I thought I just paint a big heart and write something about it, I could not find a red Edding. Then I thought, I look sometimes at Flickr and find me a nice photo. There I saw an image appear on the were different postcards and turned my thoughts to my Peanuts collection. Ha! What would be better than a homemade Peanuts Valentine card. Then my son came back from the neighbor boy, life was held again today and I had to start over.
I went out and bought a postcard that you can see here:
Just like the one I had sent the first BPW will travel out halfway around the earth. But I tell you not to go. All the bloggers on the list are now writing about their sent postcards. Then we wait. In a few days or so, anyone who get one postcard has, blog about it. And then you can see who has got my. Or who has sent me a postcard. I hope my postcard arrives safely. Right now my husband is on his way to post.
